How to create a Survey?

This article will explain what Survey is and how to create it. You can use Surveys to create questions and share them with your employees. They will answer anonymously and you can analyze their answers.

Creating Survey

Go to Survey and click on New Survey.  You can choose between NPS Survey and Questionnaire Survey.:

  • Questionnaire Survey is used to ask as many questions as you would like to get a detailed understanding of how your employees are feeling about different subjects.
  • NPS Survey is used to ask a single question to get a quick understanding of how your employees are feeling about a specific object.

1. Questionnaire Survey

You can start by typing Survey's name and description. On the left side you have a variety of question types. You can choose among them and create as many questions as you want. You can make them optional (that is the default setup) or required. Once you got the questions, you can go to the Respondents tab.

  •          Respondents

Here you can choose how you want your employees to get the task. Available options are through Inbox, Task, Email or URL.

If you choose a task, you can adjust assignment rules as per your needs.
  •         Duration

The next step is to set up the frequency of the survey. It can be One time only or Recurring.

If it's recurring, you can adjust start and end dates, as well as the period of repetition.

If it's one time only, you can select the specific date and time to run it.

The last thing in this section is to set how many days will respondents have to submit their answers.

  •          Publishing Survey

After the above steps are completed, you can click on Run Survey in the upper right corner. The survey will show as pending until its publishing time comes.
You can edit the survey until 10 minutes before it is sent out to respondents.

After that, you will be able to edit the survey, but all changes will take effect only the next time the survey runs.

2. NPS Survey

You can start by typing Survey's name and description. Then you need to choose NPS Survey type and click NEXT. On the left side, you have templates.

You can choose among them or create custom questions and follow-up question if necessary. Once you got the questions, you can go to the Respondents tab.

Survey as a task in HR Cloud

If you chose to deliver your survey to your employees using tasks in HR Cloud, they will be able to see it in their Tasks grid along with its due date.

Once they click on it, they will be able to access it. They can skip all the optional questions and still Submit the Survey.

HR Admin can easily check who completed the survey by filtering the Tasks grid.
