How to create custom Kudos Badges and custom Backgrounds?

This article explains how to create a custom kudos badge and custom kudos background.

Giving Kudos is a way of appreciating and honoring your colleague's achievements. Creating custom kudos refers to creating badges to be given to someone for doing a specific thing or in a specific way. Some of the existing kudos badges are for creativity, innovation, hard work, leadership, winning etc.

Please note that only an admin can create a new badge for giving kudos.

To create a custom kudos badge,

1. Go to the Kudos app.
2. Click on the Settings button in the right corner of the page.
3. Add a new badge by clicking on the + icon at the top of the Badges page.
4. Enter the category for the badge and add a badge image. You can choose any of the existing images or upload a new custom image for the category.  If you are adding a new image,  it should be a 120 x 120px PNG file and less than 3MP.

Click Save.

To create a custom kudos background;

1. Go to Kudos Settings.
2. Click on General - Backgrounds.
3. You will see an overview of existing system backgrounds but there is also a button "+New Background"
4. By clicking on "+New Background", you will get a pop up window where you can upload a file. Recommended size is 424px x 200px.
