How to create optional tasks?

This article explains how to make a task as optional and not mandatory.

By default, every task created is a mandatory task for the assignee and should be finished by a given due date. If a given task is not mandatory, check the 'Optional' field in task settings and the assignee will be able to skip it without completing it.


To mark a task as optional,

1. Go to the Tasks page.

2. Create or edit the task which has to be made optional.

3. Enter the details of the task.

4. Check the Optional field of the task. Click Save.

When the assignee opens this type of task, an additional link 'Skip this task ' is shown at the top of the page. The assignee can click this link to skip the task without completing it.
