How to Edit Permissions for Posting and Commenting on the Company Feed

This article will show you how you can edit permissions for posting and commenting on the channel feed.

Channel Admins can decide who can be allowed to comment or post in a certain channel. You can do so by going to Workmates>Channels and choosing Company Feed or any other channel in which you're listed as Admin/Owner. Once you open the channel, you will see Settings tab below header. If you click on it, you can choose between General Settings and Post Approval and Restrictions.

General Settings

In the General Settings section you can change a channel name except in the case of Company Feed as that channel name cannot be modified. You can also add Channel description and modify the roles that can access Channel Analytics

Post Approval and Restrictions for Company Feed

In this section you can enable or disable Post and Comment approvals. In case you enable it, all posts and comments from that moment on will have to be approved by an admin or a moderator.

You can also adjust Posting and file upload restrictions as done in the video. If you click on Click Here, you will open a list with all security roles that HR Cloud offers. You can then adjust the posting and file upload as well as commenting restrictions for each of the security roles if you click on Configure

Each Security role has the same Posting to options and you can adjust if a certain role can post, comment or upload files to everybody or just their own department, location and so on as shown in this picture. If a checkbox next to the certain option is empty, it means that the certain role doesn't have those permissions.

After you adjust them, you can click on Save and go to another security role.

All the steps are shown in this video.

Please note that this only applies to the Company Feed settings.

Channel settings and permissions need to be adjusted for each channel specifically.
