How to edit the existing performance cycle?
This article will guide you in editing existing Perform cycles.
EDITING A RECURRING CYCLE
If you need to make corrections to the existing recurring cycle, you will need to:
1. Locate the cycle in question under the Cycles tab in the Perform app.
2. Click on the Eye icon within the Actions column. This allows you to review the current settings before making changes.
3. Click the Edit button to modify any aspect of the cycle, including general information, schedule, questions, reviewers, or notification settings.
4. After making all necessary changes, click Activate to save the updates
It is important to note that any modifications made to a recurring cycle will not affect the current active instance. Changes will only be applied to future cycles, ensuring that ongoing evaluations are not disrupted. This allows you to plan updates without impacting ongoing reviews.
Here is a short video on how you can do this:
EDITING A ONE TIME CYCLE
- Navigate to the Cycles tab in the Perform app and locate the cycle you want to update.
- Click The Deactivate icon in the Actions column to temporarily pause the cycle. This prevents tasks or notifications from being sent while you make changes.
- Click the Edit button to adjust any details, such as the schedule, questions, reviewers, or overall settings.
- Once your edits are complete, click Activate to reactivate the cycle.
This ensures that the updated cycle will run correctly and reflect your changes when it is triggered.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Always review the summary and schedule of the cycle after editing to confirm that all settings are correct.
- If the cycle includes multiple review types (Self Review, Manager Review, Peer Review), check that each review type reflects the updated questions and settings.
- Changes to notification settings can help ensure that all participants receive the correct prompts after edits.
- Single-run cycles cannot be edited while they are active.
You must deactivate the cycle before making any changes. - When you edit a recurring cycle, the changes do not apply to the currently running cycle.
The updates will only take effect in the next scheduled cycle. - If you deactivate a cycle, make edits, and then reactivate it, the cycle will be triggered again.
