How to set up IP Whitelist?

This article will show you how you can set up User IP or API IP Whitelist.

HR Admins have the ability to set up IP Whitelists if needed. They can do so by going to Settings>User Management>IP Whitelist.

There are two different IP Whitelist settings and this article will show you how to enable both of them as they are both disabled as default.

User IP Whitelist

This feature gives you an opportunity to define a specific range of user IP addresses that are given access to HR Cloud account in order to control who has access to your company and its information. In case it’s not specified, users will be able to access the account from any IP location.

If you want to enable this option, you need to click on the disabled User IP Whitelist button and enable it. After that, you need to click on a plus (+) sign and add IP Range Start and End values. Once you do that, click Save and you will be able to see, edit and/or delete the record. If you need to add more records, you can do that by repeating mentioned steps just as shown in this video.

In case you want to disable this option again, you can simply disable the button by clicking on it.

API IP Whitelist

This feature gives you an opportunity to define a specific range of IP addresses that can make API calls to your network to help prevent unauthorized access. In case it’s not specified, API calls will be allowed from any IP location.

If you want to enable this option, you need to click on the disabled API IP Whitelist button and enable it. After that, you need to click Add (+ sign) and add IP Range Start and End values. Once you do that, click Save and you will be able to see, edit and/or delete the record. If you need to add more records, you can do that by repeating mentioned steps just as shown in this video.

In case you want to disable this option again, you can simply disable the button by clicking on it.
