What is Points Funding in Kudos?

This article explains what is points funding in Kudos, how to purchase or add more points and check your current company balance.

In Kudos, there are two types of Kudos Points - Gift Card Points and Custom Reward Points. They are used for different types of rewards that you can check here.

To purchase Kudos Gift Card Points:

Please note that the Admin is the only one who can purchase points.

  1. Go to 'Settings' and then 'Kudos' on the bottom of the page.
  2. Click on 'Points Funding' on the left side under Billing & Funding section.
  3. In the middle of the page under Gift Card Points, click on the blue button 'Purchase More Points'.
  4. Choose how many points you want to add to your company or enter the exact amount that you want to purchase and click 'Next'.
    Please note when purchasing, 1 point = $1.
  5. Enter credit card details which can also be used for future purchases.
  6. Finalize the purchase by clicking on 'Purchase'.
  7. Points are added, you can check the Current Balance in the middle of the page under Gift Card Points.

To add Kudos Custom Reward Points:

HR Admin can add an unlimited balance of custom reward points since it doesn't have value in real money (like Gift Card Points)

  1. Go to 'Settings' and then 'Kudos' on the bottom of the page.
  2. Click on 'Points Funding' on the left side under Billing & Funding section.
  3. On the bottom under Custom Rewards Points, click on the blue button 'Add More Points'.
  4. Type in how many points you want to add to your company.
  5. Points are added, you can check Company Balance at the top of the page.

Under points funding, you can always track down Company Balance and Points Balance.

  • Current Company Balance 
    The number of points that have been purchased and/or awarded but still not redeemed. So they are the sum of the Current Points Balance and points distributed through the company. 
  • Available Company Balance 
    How many points are still available to give away based on the company balance and spending limits
