What is Workmates Chat?

This article will explain an additional way how to communicate with Workmates through the Chat feature.

By enabling the Chat feature, your employees can communicate through the app.

Any user can send a message in an email body template (it needs to have recipient(s), subject, and a message).

By default, users can choose any active employee as the recipient of that specific chat message.

This can be further adjusted by customizing employee groups and setting up to whom members of a specific group can reach out in Chat.

Recipients by default receive an email notification about missed messages in their Chat if they haven't seen it for 30 minutes but this can be adjusted under user preference settings.
