How do I set up a service account?
This document explains what a service account is used for and how to create one in the HR Cloud system.
HR Cloud exposes APIs for other third-party applications to communicate with HR Cloud.
For any such integration with HR Cloud, you will need a service account.
To create a new service account, go to System Settings and click Service Accounts under the General tab. Click the ‘+’ icon and enter account details as shown below.
Click Save to create the account. This automatically creates a key and a secret to be used with this integration whenever required.
The details of the account along with the key and secret will be listed in the Service accounts table as shown below. You can change the key and secret by clicking the reset icon, at the end of the row.
The creation or update of data through a service account needs API user role permissions.
