How to Enable or Disable Task Assignment Notifications?

This article will explain how you can enable and disable task assignment notifications under Settings.

Access Notifications through Settings - Notifications - Task Notifications.

Once you do that, you will see three options: Enable automatic assignment emails, Enable manual assignment emails and Enable step assignment emails. You can disable or enable them by simply clicking on a slider toggle next to the desired option.

Even though there is no Save option, the system will save the last action.

Enable automatic assignment emails option

If you enable this option, each time tasks are assigned automatically (e.g. when checklist tasks are assigned), an email notification will be sent to the task assignee for each task they receive. This is disabled as default but you can enable it if necessary.

Enable manual assignment emails option

This means that each time tasks are assigned manually (e.g. any task assignment which was not triggered by a checklist but a manual action), an email notification will be sent to the task assignee for each task they receive.

Enable step assignment emails option

If you enable this, each time a review task is created, an email notification will be sent to the task assignee for them to act upon.

Perform Task Notifications

In case you are using our Perform application, you will have the fourth option available and it's called Enable bulk assignment emails for managers.

When you enable it, each time a performance review cycle is triggered, managers will receive a single email for all assigned tasks. This is used to prevent spamming managers with multiple emails. If you disable it, they will get a separate email for each task.

You can see how to disable and enable the above options in this video.
